The very essence of HOMBELAKU FOUNDATION these days is its confrontation with the PANDEMIC Fight Against the PANDEMIC- COVID-19: With the able assistance of Shri Sai Science and Commerce College, Dharwad responded to the critical situation of the pandemic induced lock down. The Hombelaku Foundation grappled with these circumstances by providing grocery kits and essentials to around 2000 stranded laborers along with the general poor. Besides, the Hombelaku Foundation handed over N-95 masks, sanitizers and three layered masks to the police, health and municipal personnel.
To be precise, the Hombelaku Foundation has contributed 20,000 masks to various department, laborers and general public. The people who were benefitted by the prolonged efforts of Hombelaku Foundation included daily wagers, construction workers, slum dwellers, contract job workers and the like.
Thousands who were marooned due to the torrential rains in Coorg, the situation being further worsened by landslides had led to the destruction of houses, bridges, road networks, industries etc. exacerbated due to its hilly terrain. the locale was seriously exacerbated due to its hilly terrain.
The President of Hombelaku Foundation, Dr. Veena Biradar has donated Rs. 32,000/- (Thirty Two Thousand Only) to the CM Relief Fund during the Coorg disaster.
Skill Development Program:
The Hombelaku Foundation has efficaciously conducted Tailoring program to empower rural women towards self-employment. These training programs have led many a rural woman to be self-reliant.
Health Education Program:
The Hombelaku Foundation has conducted programs in health education. among rural public. The Foundation has helped reduce many health threats. Problems by educating the public about physical, mental health and hygiene. The preventive measures which are also important to reduce health hazards. Thus the Hombelaku Foundation plays a pivoted role in transmitting information to the target population on specific health topics and threats. Not only this, the Hombelaku Foundation also provides tools for capacity building and changes in behavioral patterns for improvement.
Health Checkups Camps:
The Hombelaku Foundation has piloted several health check-up camps with the able cooperation of the District Health Office, Dharwad and its doctors. In these health camps, special efforts have been directed towards women to sensitize them about SID, RH concerned diseases; the appropriate age in girls for marriage, pregnancy and spacing interval between two children and health hazards due to deficiency in nutrition. During such camps, many SID cases were detected and proper treatment was provided.
Environment Awareness and use of Cloth Bags:
The Hombelaku Foundation strives to create environment awareness among the rural people. This is done through sensitizing them to reduce waste of resources, and recycle as much as possible. Vanamahotsava or regular planting of trees is also carried out. The Hombelaku Foundation gave out 5000 cloth bags in order to sensitize people to abandon plastic bags.
Computer and Personality Development Program:
Every year the Hombelaku Foundation. Conducts Personality. Development Programs and Computer training for youth and employees to enhance career.
- Vidya Vikas Kendra : Akshar Arivu Free Education Programme: Organizing a Character Awareness Campaign through the inauguration of the Centre for Educational Development, free education and personality. Development classes for children with no conducive environment for financially distressed learning. The aim and objective of the campaign is to raise awareness of education for the educationally disadvantaged children.
- Scholarship Facility: The objective of the project is to provide educational and educational incentives to children who pass the SSLC examination and become economically disadvantaged.
- Blood Donation Camp: Blood donation is one of the many significant services Undertaken by The HF.
- Counselling with students: The mind is likened to the Maya and the Merkata. The purpose is to guide the teenage children in the right way for their next bright future; to unleash their hidden talents lay and a solid foundation for their future. Unleash
- Counselling and communication with parents: Our Organization plays a vital role in identifying problem and delingment children and counselling them.
- Visit to Senior Citizens Home: Helping the elderly by raising, caring, caring, raising children, missing out on the love of the same children, visiting elderly animals living in old age, spending time with them, providing food kit and donations from the Foundation.
- Visit to orphanage: The orphanage helps orphaned children by meeting with children who have been deprived of father-mother love, caring for grandparents, spending time with them, and distributing notebooks to those children’s educational programs.
- Promotion of sports.( Support or Encouragement to Sports): The sport was promoted by providing financial assistance to the young athletes who were in financial trouble.
- Helping the Needy during Flood: Many people in the orphanage have been sheltered in areas such as Alnavara, Navalgunda and Naragunda after losing their homes due to natural disaster. Meeting such people, they were helped by the mental health of the organization, providing them with food and groceries.
- Help for the Blind: Financial aid was provided to the school for the blind children of Gloucestershire and for the benefit of their children. These children were invited to our college and the special talents of them were introduced to our students.
