HOMBELAKU FOUNDATION is a Dharwad, Karnataka State, rural and urban development organization, formed by a group of socially committed young professionals in 2017. Hombelaku Foundation was formally registered on 16th December, 2017 under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960. Hombelaku Foundation for the last 3 years is working directly with the Community Health, self-Sustenance of Communities education, health, environment, community, particularly with youth, students, socio-Economic areas, women and children, who are struggling with poverty, social exclusion and gender injustice, Keeping them in the focus Hombelaku Foundation is working for the all-round development of society by ensuring their values in living and human rights approach.
Hombelaku Foundation is the brain child of young professionals who are committed to rural development. It has been a noble expression of their concern for the welfare of the disadvantaged and underprivileged sections. Further, it is a positive response towards building the capacity of the community at the grassroots. (It was established in 2017 and formally registered on Societies Registration Act, 1960.) Ever since, Hombelaku Foundation is working hard to promote health, hygiene education; not only does Hombelaku Foundation work amidst women, but also with children and youth with the goal of fostering a healthy environment and educating them on nurturing good values leading to a healthy lifestyle along with appropriate enlightenment about human rights. The heart of Hombelaku Foundation is mainly for the upliftment of the downtrodden, the oppressed, the socially marginalized and those exposed to sexism or gender based violence to empower and educate poor students, help them with their education, develop their craft skills, support them with disabilities, reward and motivate the talented poor students for study.
Farmers are provided with expert information on agriculture, ophthalmology for the poor, free medical camps and health care programs. Conduct of environmental Protection of the environment and nature conservation programs that includes Vanamohotsava embrace .
- Providing free training for women to embrace self-employment; Sitting up of senior citizen shelter homes and formulating and emergency assistance plan.
- To raise awareness on indigenous, culture and literature. To bring together the people of the society betterment.
- Raising awareness of children’s and women’s rights. To promote awareness on environmental hygiene in rural areas. Training on sports, yoga and meditation for better health.
- Our aim is to create ten more programs to serve the community. In the interests of all, our organization will assist everyone in the development of all classes, students, young people and the people of the society.
- Promoting and protecting rights and entitlements of children with demonstrated intervention models of child protection and care.
- Facilitating gender justice, promoting, protecting rights and entitlements of women with dignity and participation of women in all spheres of life for an empowered, gender sensitive and violence-free, just society.
- Creating models of sustainable agriculture and livelihood options to improve quality of lives of the poor the marginalized and the excluded.
- Promoting collective action among Civil Society Organizations by building capacities and technical expertise to effectively that address the issues that affecting the lives of women and children, both at grass root and policy level.
- Developing capacities of foundation for efficient and effective functioning to become a center of excellence on gender, child rights and protection and livelihood in a systemic, transparent and accountable work culture.
